Scott and I ordered a walker for Damien that came in the mail yesterday. Damien really seems to like it. He’s been moving all around the living room. The video I shot was too large to upload to this site, so I settled uploading a video of Damien gnawing on a cracker instead.

A Bad Case of the Mondays

Today was exhausting. I somehow ran out of time this morning getting myself and Damien ready. So I was rushing around and with my arms full of stuff, I missed a step, tripped, and landed hard on my knees into the cement. I mean how often do you actually fall down as an adult? Not too often…And my right knee is still sore. Then, I did make it to PT on time, but my jacket was stolen. I luckily didn’t put anything in the pockets, but the PT jackets aren’t exactly cheap. Scott worked a 12 hour shift so I had Damien by myself all evening to which he spent a lot of time SCREAMING. Also, the kitchen is infested with ants. Ugh. Such a disappointing day.

Happy Easter!

I couldn’t resist buying Damien his first suit to celebrate his first Easter. I also took a couple pictures with the Easter card he received from his Great Grandma Van Winkle. Thank you 🙂

Anniversary Weekend

On Friday, Scott and I celebrated our six year wedding anniversary 🙂 We ordered Thai from one of our favorite restaurants and we were planning to watch a movie at home and relax. Well, out of nowhere, our TV didn’t turn on. So Scott spent a great deal of our evening troubleshooting and on the phone with the manufacturer. We now have an older TV hooked up in the living room until Scott can call a German TV repair man to come and fix our broken TV. We were also planning to have our babysitter watch Damien for a few hours on Saturday so we could spend some time alone, but on Saturday morning, our babysitter called to say she couldn’t watch Damien because her daughter was sick. So with a last minute change of plans, we all went out to lunch at a British Fish and Chips place I’ve been wanting to try. I ordered the Haddock and it was pretty tasty. The fries and the tarter sauce were really good too. Scott tried some peppered steak pie thing which he said was just okay. And now it’s Sunday and Damien and I are just hanging out while Scott’s at work for a 12 hour shift. I had intended to get a lot of housework done…but so far it’s not looking so good. I think I may just work on laundry today and call it good enough. And that was my weekend 🙂

Scott and I spent our Friday in Trier which is Germany’s oldest city. It’s about an hour drive from where we live and it turned out to be a great adventure. Damien joined us since our daycare center was closed, but he was well-behaved…at least until we got home 😛

Mommy and Baby

I had a day off from work and decided that it was time for a new look. Long hair just doesn’t work for me so it’s now in a bob. Damien did not want to sit still for a photo, but I did manage to get one good enough to share 🙂
